MRDF Project
Through MRDF we choose a project to support over 2 years. Our current project is in Uganda, here they are concentrating on water and sanitation, particularly for the most vulnerable - children and the elderly.
Our aim is to raise enough money to build a boys and girls toilet block, complete with hand washing facilities and water storage.
This costs £2,261.
We started the ball rolling with the 2011 Christmas Appeal and a January Table Top Sale which brought us to a total of £960.
This was followed by a 'Bangers and Mash - with a splash!' evening. Lots of fun was had by all whilst finding out just how difficult it is for children in Uganda to be able to wash and use the toilet without worrying about their health or safety.
As of March 2012 our current total stands at
£1,700
This still leaves £561 to go. If you wish to support this worthwhile cause at any time, donations can be given to Gill Peace, Jackie Phillips, Sarah Knight or Lisa Medina.
