Girls Brigade

We start back with our first full week for the girls on Friday 16th September. We look forward to seeing you there!

What is Girls’ Brigade?

Girls’ Brigade is a Christian organisation where the girls learn and develop their skills and knowledge through working towards badges. The aim is to complete one badge per year, with each badge consisting of 4 sections: Spiritual, Physical, Service and Educational. The badges the children earn are presented at the end of the Summer term after completion of a badge.

When is Girls’ Brigade?

Explorers, Juniors and Seniors meet in St Andrews Church Hall on Friday nights during school terms. Children should aim to arrive between 6.15pm and 6.30pm for a 6.30pm start. We aim to finish at 8.15pm.

What should the girls wear?

The girls are required to wear a uniform consisting of a white (red for explorers) Girls’ Brigade Polo Shirt and navy v-neck Girls’ Brigade sweatshirt. It is preferable that the girls wear ‘sensible’ flat shoes or trainers that are suitable for running games/physical activities.

What does it cost?

There is a £25 registration fee payable on enrolment, this is to cover insurance costs thet we have to pay per child. The weekly £1.50 charge goes towards providing your child with drinks and resources (pens, paper, craft materials etc.)
